Kintsugi
Everyone said, Canada is a land of dreams
But no one said , land of some broken unfulfilled dreams
Morning announcements from Premier
Stay home, you found it hard in your abode
But you did, you survived
I know survival isn’t the only thing, you need to thrive too
Some shaken dreams you put them to dust
Only to wipe them with your tears
But you kept going
Kept going
Year one, year two, and on and on
Because you knew someone else is happy only when you are happy
But now, You doubt yourself and say I can’t handle it anymore
Get up, let me tell you a truth you seem to have forgotten
You were born out of resilience
Resilience of a human body to bear
The retch, the stretch , the pain
You were born out of your own resilience
Of lying folded, curled up in a water bath
Sucking, listening, kicking, growing
Waiting for one fine day when the grown up little bundle of joy
Stretches its wings, to shine and conquer hearts and world
And yet You doubt yourself
How can you?
Chin up , feel the gold brighten up your day and warm your heart
After all, your strength is what no one can take away from you.
Feel the cool white in your palms under the twinkling starlight
After all, you are doing your best
When the Moon goes through phases, it doesn’t doubt itself
Listen to it, feel it in the glistening snow
You are a rock, not withering away, but slowly and steadily carving
You break, you cry, you fall
Do you know why?
Because,
There’s beauty in broken pieces
Kintsugi your broken self into a masterpiece
Those golden lines will tell-tale your story
After all, you are the Creator, the Director of your notes, A flutist setting music in air!
