As the chill fills the air
so does the aroma of
Honey, lemon, pumpkin and ginger
Is it just me? I wonder
Fall is around it seems
but, a warm sunny day keeps the feeling away

The tall cedar and maple dance with wind
A butterfly by my kitchen window delights her
Mommy, can we go out to play?, she asks
It’s too windy, so we can’t
She hates it and yells at the wind,
stop, I don’t like you
I laugh and she hates it more
